  1. I am setting my layers to either play with the pedal sustain while I don't want the lower layer doing that. But I can't seem to access layer 2. How do I do this?
  2. Thanks Brad for you video explanaitons. There is also another Casio Ct x3000 video series at Stewart Wallace - YouTube His video's are really good as well. My keyboard just is acting wierd. Could I some how corrupted registration 1. Because I am unable to put my x3000 back in tune.
  3. It's been a hwile since I have been on this board and I have been using my Casio Ct x3000 as a controller, but I decided I had learned enough to correct certain inconsistancies first the auto accompaniment tuning is down a whole step so If the acc is on c I have to play Bb to be playing the octave. I tried adjusting the master tuning and it doesn't let me increment up enough to match the tones together. Could it be somehow I corrupted the 1st registration
  4. Sorry if I write confusing. I write to peak people''s curiosity. So I don't write tight to subjects. The 70's 80's and 90's were experimental years. and today people know how to teach electronic music , that anyone can pickup the important skills involved in arranging.
  5. Yeah I don't think this violates the law. It's like emulating old Amiga games. The amiga library from the way back machine Internet archive tosec is definitely legit and because comercially sounds for this instrument are not being sold, or maybe a few people are offering sounds, it's pretty legal. Check out the mame projoects. No one can get access to the games so it's pretty much legal. The copyright rules of 75 years force neglect of many trends that existed. It's like looking for free math ciricuulum. There isn't much on the free internet. Mit open course ware, ocw is one site, but as long as you get Amiga forever any fiiles you come across for that are legal. Dr T's KCS was excellent and the only program that comes close to it is Band in a box.
  6. Yes that's what we need is build a cz5000 into ct-x3000 with the 8 stage envelopes that will read cz sounds. I owned the cz101 and it had so many sounds made for itr. Arturia has a CZ vst but it doesn't seem like the collections of cz sounds exist anymore. At least i can't locate them on the web.
  7. These are preliiminary questions. If you want to use vst's and multiple instruments in a sequencer and use the Casio ct-X3000 as a controller than you should learn about midi. Groove 3 a teacher of many different sequencers and vst's has a special going on $100 for full access to all the musical tutorials on his sight. What sequencer are you using?
  8. Is the Casio ct-x3000 transposed differently because it doesn't match my Band in a box Songs at all.? How do I fix this?
  9. I am setting my instrument to play vst as well as local , but while the tuning is correct for vst's and sequencers. My actual keyboard is tuned a whole step below and when I transpose it, also the vst instruments go out of whack. How do I fix this. I have tried the transpose button, but it also transposes the vst instrument. That seems like wierd behavior. Any idea.
  10. I knew how to do this at one time. But I've forgotten. The manual doesn't contain a table of contents or an index. So it makes it time consuming to look up. We should work up one, I've just been doing more sequncer orientated stuff using it with the computer and playing the Casio when our power goes out. Fortunately we don't have PG&E which have been harsh on their customers. But three times during the fall months we lost power. I remember I hold the function key down, but it doesn't seem to kick me into edit mode to tune my keyboard a step down. Thank you very much for your help Sorry I haven't visited much, It's been the holidays.
  11. Yeah I got it to record the audio, but now I want to do the various aspects , arpeggiators, accompaniment chords, Drum Track rhythms. Are all those available as an audio stream? or a midi output?. I haven't yet tried to send any midifiles back into the CT-X3000. But I will do that next week. I discovered my cable was bad and stuck a new audio cable into the mixer and it worked. Thanks
  12. I had the same issues with my Casio CT-X3000 where the a440 didn't match the tuning of songs I was trying to learn from my streaming music service. I would transcribe sometimes poorly all the parts and try to rearrange them in Bandlab Cakewalk. I had to find the control I wanted and then enter down several levels to fix it. But that is the way you learn what your keyboard can do and use it in its entirety.
