  1. Casio are now right up there with the best and their tech will end up the best. They are making more strides than even Yamaha and an see in maybe a couple of years dominating the market. The CTX5000 is a very powerful and versatile keyboard only hampered by a complex menu system of menus. It's just a real pity casio still retain the idea in many peoples heads these are toys, as Casio used to be terrible and toy sounds
  2. Does anyone else get a hum when connecting a phone to the ctx5000. Sure plays music through fine, but with an annoying hum in the background. Increasing volume makes it less noticable.
  3. I know they say using a flash drive. I have a 250gb usb hdd drive which is not really bring used. Can you use USB hdd or SSD? else is it only limited or limited capacity? Which is why they only mention flash drive?
  4. Think 15 watts over 6 is worth it. Got more sound and higher wattage has its advantage in sound reproduction and more punchy at lower volumes over 6 watts
  5. Its usb midi so dont need those old din plugs. USB also handle midi so it's just a matter of using a standard usb cable.
  6. There is a good online manual on you tube?
  7. I like geeky things and with versitality comes complexity. But this your only limited to your imagination. Get many say it's a steep learning curve, which it is, but so versatile and dought any other keyboard in this range is as versatile which is why I love it. Its amazing for what it is. Looked at the korg ek50 and a close tossup, but casio won due it its versatility and can change very voice to your liking.
  8. Your joking aren't you? Got this keyboard and it has great styles for all types of music,? Modern to old work fine and have no issues with styles and rhythms used with old songs. Just need to be creative and you can also create your own rhythms. The sounds are amazing. Love this keyboard and its extremely versatile and not stuck in the past and 64 and can use it well with old songs also. I play old and modern music. Not just stuck in the past with the old stuff. You need to be versatile when it comes to playing music and I like all kinds
