Thank you for this post - very inspirational.

Thank you, @AiXWman and @Tom banjo for your post/reply on this subject. They inspired me to take out my XW-G1 and start experimenting. I was entertained all night.βΊοΈ And - I am sure that there are many ways to approach e.g. sound programming on the XW synths. There are plenty of possibilities once you get going... Jay πΉ

Anyways, a little update on my reply to @Pravito... I just tried using this Casio CT-370 SoundFont I mentioned earlier in this thread. First I installed Plogue Sforzando Soundfont player to my DAW, and then imported the .sf2-file into the VST. And, lo and behold, it works! I now have a complete CT-370 (Plus extra sounds, apparently) in my instrument library.π Jay πΉ PS some new CT-370 music is bound to appear from my side - at some point.

Hi I found this while looking for something else. It's a complete SoundFont sampling of Casio CT-370 for download free of charge with every sound from this keyboard sampled in 5 octaves! Jay πΉ

Thanks, I'm glad you like it.π

Hello This is a little thing I just started working on. I hope to expand it in time. Chords and Bass are customized (filtered) tone (with added reverb) and unaltered preset tone on the Casio MT-400V, respectively. Drums are Impact from Presonus. Enjoy! Jay πΉ

Here's a Hexlayer Tone called "SomethingNew" I did some time ago. It has a brassy (synth) kind of sound to it. Also, when you release the keys the sound is programmed to sort of talk back at ya If you use the stagesetting PLAYFULL.ZPF (instead) and you hard-press the keys in the lower keyboard range you'll hear an arpeggio. I included a sound demo (of the stagesetting) as well. Have fun with it. Jay πΉ -
Hi I tried to look for the specifications of the guitar strap and found the following product, that I think is the same as mine: Ernie Ball 4040 Poly Strap Red β Thomann UK On the product page you can find the length of the guitar strap. I am glad to help Jay πΉ

I still have that problem... also I have another issue with the G1, that has to do with internal timing as described elsewhere on this forum. So, I actually put it up for sale (!). For 3 months or so, the keyboard has been available for someone else to purchase. The other day I placed it in my living room (it had been stored in the basement). I gave it a go at the keys and got back into the groove - so to speak. It still is a fun keyboard to play - despite its technical flaws. So I want to ask the community here a simple question. Should I keep it or Sell it ??? Thanks. Jay πΉ

Ok. So I have this phrase recorded on the PX-5S that was made for a particular hex layer tone I made. I want to playback the phrase as a part of a song sequence where: track1 is the phrase for the hex layer tone and track2 plays another phrase consisting of a drum pattern. Now, in the song mixer I can tell the PX-5s which instrument or tone I want to use for a particular track. I succeeded in picking a drum set for the drum phrase. However, I can't select the said hex layer tone as my tone for the phrase in track1. I consulted the tutorial manual for the PX-5S and according to it, in its tone list, (page E-45), the program change number for user hex layer tones 050-127 is 50-127, while the Bank Select MSB Value is 97 For hex layer tones 128-199 the program change number is 0-71 and the Bank select MSB value is 98. I tried to dial in the corresponding program change number with Bank Select MSB set to 97 and 98 - but I don't see my hexlayer tone as a selected tone. Any suggestions? Help is greatly appreciated, Thanks. Jay πΉ

Thank you for those kind words I used the Flute tone on my CT-370 and I added Flanger and Reverb as effects. Again - Thank You!

Hi Here's a little tune, that's melodic, dreamy and velvety in character. I played it on my Casio CT-370 with two effects: flanger and reverb. Jay πΉ

Hi I was wondering what the abbreviation MT in, for instance, Casio MT-100 is referring to? My CT-370 is a Casio Tone Keyboard so that's easy: CT=Casio Tone π On the CZ line of synths, I believe I saw it somewhere named the Cosmo SynthesiZer (?) Thanks. Jay πΉ

Hi Ever since I got my CT-370 keyboard (as a kid) I wanted to recreate the demo song in some form. Here's an attempt at that. By coincidence I learned that this particular percussion-driven part of the CT-370 demo song is very much alike that of the built-in Samba rhythm. Hence, the name. Jay πΉ

Here's a list of youtube videos with the CT-S1000V in play using vocal synthesis to "sing" well known songs:

Thank you Akshansh Khare and Brad Saucier. What I was trying to say is that, as far as I know, the voltage differs from country to country. In my country we have 240volts in the wall socket. I believe they have "only" 110volts in the US, so I was concerned that an adaptor dimensioned for the US market might not work in a european setting. On the the other hand, If the adaptor accepts an input voltage of 240volts I only need to change the cable that goes into the wall socket.
