  1. Glad we can start some fire jay find it and build that city.
  2. And thats a very cool approch hands on im on your team...
  3. This has been in hibernation for quiet a long time, and im inspired to explore this long lost forgotten relic! If anyone has any stories on the VZ engine or editors etc... Please Share
  4. Top of Mourning Casionauts

Has anyone made any major advacements on a CTX Editor with nice graphics ?

  5. Absolutly sound programming is great on the XW its when we expect it to be a full on workstation , and sometimes song creation comes to a complete hault
  6. So because like alot of you xw players out their including myself, tryin to figure out that machine of confusion?Ive been syntheisizing 40+yrs and know casios very well from the cz-vz-fz-ctx but the XW ? Just to get it to play back what i did the nite before , well those days are over! With the XWP editor im loading up all the tone memories and saying goodbye to multitimbral mode/step seq./performance. Now its a dedicated single channel synth TONE solo/hex mode like Juno 60 Jupiter 6. Thats what im used to, designing epic patches and incorporate into my songs, im not waisting time with an unfreindly O.S ...XWP-1 is now easier than ever.
  7. I had a akx10 i tried to like it for 3weeks and return it, the dancing Light show was cool really make you stand out,but the sounds were just so canned even w/EQ ,almost muffeled sure that great big color touch display was a real treat , but having the CTX-5000 and Yanaha psr i-500 Korg Triton Extreme it could not hold its own. But if i were starting its good for them...
  8. Wow between you and Jokyman a.k.a the mad scientists , im also goin thru those weird perf/seq. problems to as much as love the P1 it sure takes the fun away, and i thought my VZ-1 was complicated... That damn P-1 sets me back so many hours i could have reserved for compositions, Should i continue on in XW world or do i says goodbye?
  9. thanks brad for all yer research on these machines with out you , us casiers would be chained

in bondage to those cryptek manuals

  10. yes all or most midi quest editors are cool and the display is not that hard just remember how 2 put back take pics if needed
  11. well the new aix engine on the ctx is superior to the wk but the trade off is ? wk is easier to edit than the ctx is very difficult unless you are a synth designer dont do much editing.
I am curious if i can convert my ctx 5000 to a ctx 9000 ? w/ the firmware update or can i swap the tones? where would i find ctx 9000 tones?
