  1. File Name: Piano +Vox 2 File Submitter: amaverick File Submitted: 19 May 2014 File Category: XW-P1 This is my version of Hex layer of the user-06 in the hex layers called piano+vox . I like it so much I replaced the original patch with this one. It works well for November Rain and ballad type stuff. Sliders 1 and 2 are pianos. Sliders 3 and 4 are vocal based or vox. Sliders 5 and 6 are Strings. Mess around with the velocity on the keys with this one. Slow easy playing triggers layers 1,2, 3 and 5 together. Harder ,more dramatic playing brings in layers 4 and 6. Turning 1 and 2 all the way down sounds good too. Play around with it. If you like this patch give me some reviews. Click here to download this file
  2. I cant get google to translate polish. ArrrrrrrrrrrrrGhhhh!
  3. Check out these packs on you-tube. They are pretty good. Maybe somebody can figure out how to get them, being he doesn't respond to replies. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/pbQYfm1oBfE?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I can't figure out how to get the video to work. Maybe someone can fix this for me
  4. Adding just a little modulation does seem to help.I almost put distortion on it. I wish I could figure out how to get that bending sound when the harmonica is really being pushed hard
  5. I just posted a hex layer harmonica sound. It's a clean sounding harmonica. I almost put a little distortion effect on it to make it a little gritty sounding, but I liked the straight sound a bit better. Very hard to do a convincing Harmonica. If I met the challenge be sure to give me some review stars.

A hex layer tone. The way I layered it came out with a slight motion or swell effect to it. Almost like a bow going back and forth on strings, getting louder then softer. I almost called it swell strings

  14. So many good posts already guys. A lot of these I enjoy also, and some I'll have to take a listen to. Boy ... Mega Man brings back some good memories. It did have pretty good music for the times.
  15. I was wondering what music influenced you guys to begin playing an instrument ? I create a lot of my sounds based on what I enjoy playing, so I'm curious how many of my influences we all share. I'll try to keep my list to a minimum. My favorite musical influences over the years...... 1. anything from late 50's,60's, 70's and 80's rock (80's is my favorite) 2.Beatles 3.Bee Gees 4.Boston 5.Ac/Dc 6. C.C.R 7. The ANIMALS. 8. Elvis 9. 38 Special 10. The EAGLES 11. QUEEN My favorite soundtracks...... 1 The NEVERENDING Story 2. Krull (or anything by James Horner) 3.Forrest Gump soundtrack 4. Legend soundtrack(the original Tangerine Dream version, not the crappy new directors cut) 5 The TRUMAN Show soundtrack 6.DRAGONHEART 7.Legends of the fall. 8. Super 8 (WOW!) 9.O brother where art thou? 10 .Karate kid 1 and 2. (wish I could find these on cd) 11. Superman the movie I know I can't put down all my influences, but all the above artists and albums inspire me to play a little each day. I'm really curious about you guys and what types of music we all enjoy.

  18. I would like the roughed up ivory feel keys from the px-5. Gets a little slippery on the keys of my Xw-P1 after playing a while.

  21. Sounds good Brad. Makes me want a Px-5
  22. Also make sure the files are for the PX-5 and not the XW-P1 or XWG -1. It helps a lot if you go into each keyboards sound downloads section on the forum pages.Check the left side of the screen. I'm pretty sure my XW-P1 files end in in .ZLT (Hex Layers) .ZAN(KEYBOARD ALL DATA) . ZPF(Performance Settings .ZTN(Modified Tones). If anybody knows anymore of these XW-P1 file types I would like to know. I'm not really sure if the XWG-1 files are the same file types as the XW-P1 , since I do not own this board. I had the same problem when I tried to open a PX-5 file type on my XW-P1. Just won't work unfortunately.
