If someone could add the spoons for percussion that would work. Also maybe a washboard sound. I have seen these in bluegrass before.

A moody sounding hex tone piano sound. Set your octave to 0 to get the intended moodiness. (it still sounds nice on the higher octaves) sliders 1 and 2 are same pianos. I panned then left and right for stereo effect. Did the same on sliders 3 and 4...just with different pianos. 5 and 6 are pads type sounds. Turn them all the way down to get straight pianos. I added them for a little sustain for this tone. -

I bet it is allowing headroom for the processing. Thanks Alenk and Double P. I will also check the chorus send parameter. Also ,welcome to the forum Mrkmgc

Does anybody notice a volume drop when you add a final master effect for a created hex layer? I've noticed the volume drops when I try to add a final master effect for my hex layers. Is is a drag on the Xw-P1's processors? May be just my unit? I don't notice the drop if I leave the master effect turned off.

I was doing my Fantasia from memory. After hearing the sound clip above, I can tell my memory is wayyyyyy off. Back to the Hex Layer drawing board I cant remember ,but did the d 50 have some way of mimiking FM synthesis. I find it tough to get a good bell sound on my XW-P1

I've seen Mike Martin demo the P5-5 on sweetwater.com. In the video he plays a hex layer bell sound that triggers on the key down and again on the key up. It could be your sound or sample is triggering on the key off. You might check the settings for the sound and change this. Does it do this on all the sounds or just the one you play in your video? if it only does it on this one sound,it's more than likely in the patch settings.

Come on guys...stay on topic here. Once again the blinking blue light has hypnotized you all.

Whew I was afraid of that. Some of my hex layers took from 30 minutes to a couple of hours to get the way I like. But if I ever buy a 5S ,I'm sure I will enjoy creating sounds on it just as well. Thanks for the quick answer Scott!

I love my Xw -P1 alot and really dig the blue lights. But I hate the always blinking tap tempo light. Is there a way to turn off the blinking? If not maybe can be something for the next software update? I guess a piece of tape would work pretty good

I currently own a XW-P1 with several hex layers I have created. I would eventually like to buy a Px-5s. Will I have to recreate all my XW hex layer patches or can the Px-5s play them? I guess they both share the same general midi tones. I'm aware the two keyboards save the files with different file type names. If the PX can't play them, maybe it can be done through software in some form?
