list DSP with Amplifier Cabinet Abbreviations on CT-X5000
Mike Martin replied to Casio Key's topic in CT-X3000 / CT-X5000
The technology in the CT-X3000/5000 is based on Kemper amp profiler. They're extremely close to that level of modeling. -
The knobs function as "Offsets" for a stored parameter. So at the center position the knob isn't doing anything to the selected tone. If you turn the knob left you're subtracting from the stored value - closing a filter, making an envelope faster, decreasing reverb depth - depending on what function you've chosen for the knobs.

Actually “BrightSawPd2” pretty much nails it. No editing needed

Absolutely! First go through the synth and synth pad categories, you'll find many that are close but they'll almost all require some slight tweaks which you can do using the knobs. 1. Set the knobs to Amp Envelope - turn knob 1 and knob 2 all the way to the left so it has a fast attack and fast release. 2. Set the knob to Filter and use knob 1 to open / close the filter to taste. I was messing around with the one of the pad sounds called 80sSynthPad2 (I think that is what is was called) yesterday and had a ton of fun. Once you have it the way you like it you can save it as a new registration.

Accompaniment split point can't be saved? (X5000)
Mike Martin replied to Just Alex's topic in CT-X3000 / CT-X5000
The FREEZE function can be set to ignore the split point that is stored in the registration. Page 69 of the manual. -

Yes by saving your preferred split point in that registration. -

The split point could also be saved in any custom registration that you create. -

Mike Martin replied to Just Alex's topic in CT-X3000 / CT-X5000
That doesn't have anything to do with the model number. Thank you. -

There are not multiple versions of this product. Why he has is listed as a C2 is a mystery to me. -
The sensitivity of the Touch Panel buttons can be changed in the SYSTEM menu. I have a feeling that this is causing the issue for some of you.

If it has MIDI in and out it can work with your PC, you simple will need a USB MIDI Interface such as this: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/mio--iconnectivity-mio-usb-midi-interface
-
No, its on the front panel. I'll check mine and confirm exactly where it is.
-
Do you have one of the Performance Filters turned on? That would explain it.
-
If you set Cutoff to a knob instead a slider, the center position is the "stored value" and you can go -/+ from there.

2 semitone keys not working on every 7 semitones [CDP-S100]
Mike Martin replied to huckster's topic in Casio CDP Series
Sounds like a physical issue that would need to be seen by an authorized warranty center.- 5 replies

Are you sure you're connecting to the line outputs not the line inputs?

Comparing the casio cdp s350 and casio px s 3000
Mike Martin replied to Dnnyboy's topic in Casio CDP Series
Advantages of the PX-S3000 over the CDP-S350 (off the top of my head) Better piano sound and piano experience (damper resonance, string resonance, mechanical noises and more) Better and fully editable global effects Expression Pedal Input and 2 knobs for realtime control Tone editing and insert effects editing Higher polyphony Better speaker system USB Audio Recording Bluetooth Audio Input 1/4 Audio Outputs I'd also add the cosmetic appearance to the advantage list but the CDP-S350 is also pretty cool looking. Mechanically the keyboard actions are very similar but there is additional patent pending technology in the PX-S3000 related to the action and how the piano sound respond. It has a better touch to sound connection that is more like a piano as opposed to a an electronic keyboard. -
