  1. You can't beat Sweetwater's $19/month payment plan. Almost as much a month as I make playing anymore! Plus they send me candy!
  2. I contacted Sweetwater and am on the waiting list for a CT-S1000V! I hope to use it mainly as a rehearsal keyboard (light weight and easy to use) but the more videos I watch the more fascinated I am with it's capabilities! Looking forward to having fun with it. I've already downloaded Casio Music Space. I'm interested in trying Music Space with my PX-S3000. Fun stuff!!
  3. We have all had those damper pedals that slide away from us while were playing. My quick fix is to turn the pedal 90 degrees counterclockwise! This only works for single pedal model, but the pedal tends to stay in one place! Go figure!
I am having a problem with this file. I've tried 2 different thumb drives, but can not copy this file and load it on my PX-S3000. I've successfully loaded other registrations from the same thumb drives within minutes of trying to load this file. I am baffled!
  4. PX-S3000 is home from the shop. Expensive lesson! $7.50 for the part. $170 for having the equipment to fix and knowing what to do with the part! I hope my misfortune will be a warning to others!
  5. Steve Fortner has a series of nice PX-S3000 videos. Steve is a former editor of Keyboard Mag, right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVEbttsAoAo
  6. Pins are messed up. I have an appointment to bring it in to an authorized shop in Portland, OR on Wednesday. They have a $100 minimum, so I'm guessing it will be around $100. Lesson learned. I've attached a 2-foot strip of orange survey tape to the new thumbdrive!
  7. Stupid human trick of the week: I was packing my PX-S3000 to take to rehearsal. (I've only taken it out a couple times) The dust cover was on the keyboard, as I put it in the case. When I was unpacking it, I found that I had left the thumb drive plugged in the back! Thumb drive was bent and my USB connection on the S3000 is trashed! ;-( Stupid mistake, packing for rehearsal too early in the day. Oh well, that will only happen to me once!!
  8. PX-S3000 user here! It's time for me to buy a notebook to use mainly for Chordana for Piano and Set List Maker! What is working well for you? I am most comfortable with Android OS but will go with Apple product if necessary! 😉 Thank you in advance!!

  11. The same power adapter works with my Hammond SK-1!

  13. dim, are you playing the Leslie effect thru L and R outs on the PX-5S? There is a doubling effect if you only use the Mono (L) out and that makes the Leslie sound unuseable. If you are only using one output and want Leslie effect plug into the Right output on PX.
  14. I recently saw a post on the PX5S user group Facebook page stating that the PX5S AC adapter and the Hammond SK1 AC adapter are interchangeable. FYI, for emergency purposes only!
  15. Hi Normski. I'll give you $500.00 for your unwanted PX-5S.
  16. You will find the customer service and user group response for the PX-5S to be exemplary! Enjoy!
  17. Your Modulation wheel (far left side of PX-5S) is turned on. Move it all the way towards you and the 'wobble' sound should go away.
  18. Try the two Pianist Stage Settings. (The_Pianist and The_Pianist2) Very tasty!
  19. Your Modulation wheel (far left side of PX-5S) is turned on. Move it all the way towards you and the 'wobble' sound should go away. I'm not sure about the sustain pedal issue.
  20. One thing to remember when using the Left output (mono) only is any of the Organ rotary effects seem to be twice the speed and sound somewhat "wobbly".
