  1. We had a 5 hour power outage today, due to freezing rain, snow and wind. It was very nice to drop some AAs into my PX-S3000 and spend some quality time rehearsing while waiting for the power to come back on. It's the first time I have used the battery option.
  2. Confirmed, Brad! :>) Upon further review, my grandkids (on Thanksgiving vacation) had started my CT-S1000 and had selected the Lyrics Mode. I rarely use Vocalist so I was in a fog! I thnik everything is good after my initial panic. I love that the grandkids are interested in my gear and love to play music!! Thanks for the quick response to the old guy! ;>)
  3. Help! I turned on my S1000 and it has reverted to the initial startup, with "Do you Hear" I had My Setup set to start with Piano. I ca't get it to start in Piano again. I am missing something! Thanks
  4. I am missing a step somewhere. I want to customize my 5 Buttons on my CT-S1000V. I make the changes and everything is fine until I shut down and restart. Then the keyboard reverts to the "old" set up. Thank you in advance.
  5. Same thing happened to me! $100 to local Casio authorized repair shop to swap out $10 part! Lesson learned! My PX-S3000 flash drive has a blaze orange lanyard attached to it!! Fool me once.... ;-(
  6. Plug your cable into the 1/4" L/Mono jack. You are plugged into the Phones jack in the photo.
  7. I, too, would like a Casiotone strap. I think I saw one being used in one of the CTS1000V promo videos.
  8. Thank you, Mike! The classic Rhodes sound! Every time I watched Taxi, I always wished the opening song was longer!
  9. Great job! You cover a lot of territory very well. Thanks for your effort! The "rubber" washers are strap locks.
  10. How old is the PX5s? Was it gigged with 2 nights a month or 5 nights a week? Many factors involved in buying a used keyboard. I've had my PX5s since October 2013. I've used it for rehearsals and gigging 10 times a month or more. I've had it in for servicing 2 times in 8+ years! If the price is right...
  11. Is there a Casiotone strap sold as an accessory? I think it might be fun trying the 'over the shoulder' thing!
  12. Will there eventually be some Vocal Synthesis files available for download/sharing?
  13. Pressing HOME > [KNOB] gives me with a PRM RESET option. Does pressing PRM RESET return the 3 KNOB settings to Cutoff, Resonance and Modulation default settings?
  14. That looks like the best fit for a gig bag with handles. Great find! The CT-S500 and CT-S1000V are roughly 36-1/2" by 10-1/8" by 3-5/8". (930 X 258 X 91)
  15. I ended up getting a case that is 15" wide. I slide the Styrofoam endcaps from the CT-S1000V shipping box over each end of my CT-SkV and that keeps it from sliding around too much. There are not many gig bags out there for a 10+" wide instrument!
  16. De nada 😉 I enjoy making and sharing the indexes (indicies). It helps to me learn the new keyboard by going over the video 3 or 4 times in one or two sittings. And I end up with an index for future reference! Win/Win! Enjoy!
  17. Thanks for the quick response, Brad! After further review, I don't believe my idea of assigning V/C to Knob 3 is possible. Onward!
  18. I am setting up my CT-S1000V to use as a lightweight keyboard for rehearsals. I want to use the Vibrato/Chorus functions available in the Rotary and Drive Rotary DSPs but NOT use the Rotary effect. I'm thinking the easiest way to do this would be to create a Registration that has the Rotary Brake On. That should give me the V/C options, I desire, while leaving the Leslie effect in the hands of the Ventilator II. Does anyone have a better or easier solution? My goal is to eliminate any "spinning effects" in the CT-S100V and use the Vent II for the Leslie effect, but retain the other onboard organ effects, i.e. Drive, etc. Can I assign Vibrato/Chorus to Knob 3?
  19. Switch off keyboard, unplug sustain pedal and plug sustain pedal in again, and turn keyboard back on. Make sure not to touch any buttons, knobs or pedals while keyboard is going through its start up process.
  20. I like the Long Press to turn the unit off. I wish I had that option on my PX-5S! (I still have an SD card case fastened over my switch., ala Scott H.)
  21. I initially purchased the CT-S1000V with the idea of using it as a lightweight rehearsal keyboard. Yesterday, I plugged the CT-SkV into my "Gig Case" which contains an Electro-Harmonix Tall, Fat and Wide pedal, a Ventilator II Leslie pedal and a small Yamaha mixer played through a Spacestation v3! Wow! Great sounding variety of organs! I can easily use this "rehearsal keyboard" at any gig where space on stage may be an issue. The EPs also sound fantastic! I haven't even begun to dive into the vocal aspects of this machine! Too much fun!!
  22. Hi Joe I, too, thought Sweetwater only used FedEx but UPS sent me the tracking info on my CT-S1000V. Any port in a port, I guess.
  23. Sweetwater initially told me that my CT-S1000V would be shipping in mid-March. They just emailed me and my newest addition to the family is on it's way! Now I will rush to the door every time I hear the UPS truck in the neighborhood! Rushing to the door is part of my daily exercise program!! 😉
  24. When I try to change my display name to my email address I get this prompt: New display name REQUIRED You are not allowed to use that display name on this site.
