  1. you can use you WK3000 using to Midi in/out with other keyboard. i use CTX and Korg keyboard for play styles and the WK3000 for playing song. Actually me have one CTX-5000 and 2 old WK3000, and one microarrangler KORG Mar1. i am work one page on Facebook name "Wk3000 casio" where put styles ckf and converted as .sty & Ac7 in future.. Note: the CTX700 is more sheap that CXT5000; also you can use CXT3000
  2. Eureka, I've done it. I managed to connect my old traditional M-AUDIO midi controller of 5 pins to the Casio CTX-5000 keyboard via USB-B! I used a series of MIDI-USB conversion cables and an Android mobile application that has very low latency. It is important to mention that the cell phone you must use must have compatibility with USB-OTG technology. I send you a simple drawing where show how to configure the input-output midi cables and the configuration of the Android APP. It seems that there are no risks, but I am not responsible if you connect your equipment wrong. Be careful when connecting the USB-B male plug (printer) to the Casio CTX! It has a polarity, but you can damage it if you connect it wrong. I did it at dawn, I couldn't take video because I had to get up early to come to work. Note: in some times the app keys on hold when excess play more 10 keys of polyphony; maybe need other similar application that accepts more polyphony. I hope you are interested, motivated and useful. Post Data: I was also able to send Midi from the CTX-5000 to an old keyboard with a 5-pin MIDI input, the WK-3500. When I have time I will share a diagram of how I did it.
  4. Many old bone musicians are disappointed that casio has moved the DIN connector to MIDI, since with that connector we could connect our old controllers and sequencers. probably CASIO thought to make a young keyboard and therefore omitted that connector, since its technology is not that complicated; In addition to the most recognized music brands still include it (AVID, Roland, Korg, Yamaha) I have a ctx5000 and I have been considering adding an arduino as a midi reader and a DIN5 converter to be able to connect an external midi keyboard to it. I hope not to damage the USB-A/B port.
  5. I couldn't get the Casio MZ in Mexico, that's why I bought the Casio CTX500 with which I am very entertained. Apparently the keyboard from Hong Kong: Medeli AKX10 is sold in some stores in the US for 700 dlls. This keyboard has the option of loading external SF2 music sources and emulating samples from other keyboards, in addition to the fact that its .STY styles are 80% compatible with those of the Yamaha, and it has style conversion software. Here in Mexico they don't sell the Medeli AKX10, only a copy of the Mideli A1000 with another name like KBoard's MK1000 for 650 dlls. I hope that in the music stores of El Paso TX they sell the Medeli AKX10 to go buy it and be able to play with both 2 keyboards.

  8. It would be great if there was an update to the Casio CTX-3000/5000 that would allow you to assign sounds or wav phrases to the 4 pads, that would help trigger rhythmic sequences, choruses or cymbals that sound more real.
  11. before i used 2 layers at same time: layer 1: 359 VaseqBs2 + Modulation SINus on vibrate layer 2: 372 EdmBass + DSP saw (low volume) I want will try to do experiments with the sound: 525 ZURNA of CT-X5000
  12. Thanks 馃檪 i dont have idea why casio not incude this value information "list sound" in the manual.
