I modified the GrPnoConcert again and this time added Stereo3BndEQ DSP. Each area registration uses the same sound but the Knob assignments are different to get a variety of different piano flavors. Adjust K1 and K2 to taste. 1. Modified GrPnoConcert using Stereo3BndEQ (K1 cutoff freq, K2 resonance) - turn K1 down for a more mellow sound 2. Modified GrPnoConcert using Stereo3BndEQ (K1 brilliance, K2 reverb send) 3. Modified GrPnoConcert using Stereo3BndEQ (K1 chorus send, K2 reverb send)- a little chorus can go a long way 4. Modified GrPnoConcert using Stereo3BndEQ (K1 attack time, K2 release time) - you can get some interesting sounds changing K1 and K2-

I always like a piano sound that cuts through a mix. This registration file contains four similar power pianos (these are modifications of the factory default GrPnoConcert tone and have a more powerful attack). Each registration has a different Touch Response setting. DSP is Stereo1BndEQ with an increased Dry Level. Knobs control Brilliance/Reverb. Rhythm is Straight 8Bt. -
Hello all. I want to start overwriting the registrations on my PX-S3000, but if it's like my Yamaha, I would be overwriting unique settings that are programmed in "at the factory". Does anyone know if I will be overwriting something I might want if I start saving my stuff to the registrations? The registrations I've listened to seem to be plain old factory voices, but it's a pretty big chore to confirm all 96 registrations with any certainty. Now If you ask me (if you want my newb opinion, or my wish) I think manufacturers should put nothing into user spaces, so that we don't need to wonder if there's something in there! I have a second question which I will write in a few moments the answer to which may answer this one... I'll try to edit this if it does. So far so good for this PX-S3000. Thanks

Hello everybody, I have had the CT-X800 for one month now and there is one feature which is great for kids but pretty annoying when you are in the middle of a music creation process and you are making a pause to drink a coffee or whatever, this is the Auto-power Off Function, which automatically cuts the power of the CT-X off after half an hour of not using it. If you happen not to have saved your settings before making a pause, when you come back to your keyboard, you'll see that all your settings are lost, and this is quite annoying if you’ve not saved them in a registration. Of course you can always disable the Auto-power off function from the Function menu, but as many functions in the CT-X line, the process is rather tedious and it is quite boring to have to repeat it each time you are powering the keyboard on. There is a workaround, though, and it is to use a registration memory slot to disable the auto-power off. I’ll explain to you how I have done this. Before starting, I’d suggest you use Bank 8 Slot 4, which you are not likely to use for something else. Here is the full process to deactivate the auto-power off: 1. Select the Function menu. 2. Use the “-“ key on the numeric keypad to go back in the function list until you reach “Other” (normally, you will have to press the “-“ key only once). 3. Press “Enter”. 4. Use the left arrow key on the numeric keypad until you reach “AutoOff”. 5. Use the “+” key on the numeric keypad to toggle the AutoOff function from “On” to “Off” (I know, this is quite confusing). When this is done, the keyboard will NOT auto-power itself off after half an hour, it will keep its power on until you power it off manually with the Power button. Here is now the procedure to save this disabled auto-power off setting in a registration memory slot: 1. Press the “Bank” button. 2. Press the “-“ button in the numeric keypad until you reach Bank 8. 3. Press the Store button and the button for Memory Slot 4 simultaneously. Voilà, you know have the registration slot 8-4 that you can recall at any time to disable the Auto-power off function. N.B.: 1. I advise you to recall this registration first thing when you power the keyboard on, because otherwise, when you’ll recall the function, of course you’ll recall the other settings which are stored in the same registration memory slot 8-4 as well. 2. I described the procedure for the CT-X700/800, but it won’t differ much on the CT-X3000/5000, I suggest that you go look in the Manual to check all the steps of the procedure. Hope this helps.

Hey, guys, I am having an issue with my PX-3 not saving anything -- registrations, bank names, etc. nothing. When I try to perform a factory reset it hangs up on the "Please Wait" message infinitely and will not complete the reset. I'm handy with keyboard repairs and opened mine up looking for an internal battery but found nothing on any of the circuit boards. Has anyone resolved this issue? Thanks.

Hi all, so the WK-3000 manual says that the Registration Memory stores (among others) the synthesizer mode settings. Those are, for example, OctShift (octave shift) and level (loudness). However, when I store some settings and then re-open them with the BANK button, these settings are gone and set to default. For example, I want the layered instrument to be only level 60 (default is 120). I save the settings. They work. But as soon as I re-open them, the settings are level 120 again. Same applies to Octave shift (very annoying!!) and probably all other synth settings. Other settings like instruments, layer, split and so on are saved, this issue seems only to affect the synth settings. This way I really can't use registration memory at all because I would have to manually re-adjust everything in synth settings each time. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there some kind of official statement why it does not work? Thanks!

Here is new tone MR Funk wah (load to Hex Layer) and registration for all controller. Modulation wheel is in use for Distortion, Knob1 for Dealay, Knob2 for Reverb, Knob3 for Amp and Expression pelad for Wah. This is a very Rock setting... I'd be glad to hear did you rock with it...? I love this odd px-560 ! In this setup I used MR Funk wah in Upper1 and Syn-Bass+Ld in Upper2. First load the tone to Hexlayer and save it and then registration and save it to bank+area.- 1 review

I have had my MZ-X500 for just shy of a week now and it certainly has an impressive array of features. My intended use is as a one man band arranger and I'll probably not use many of the in-depth features for customizing sounds. What is important to me is the ability to catalog and recall registrations quickly by song name. I find that in this area Casio has significantly limited our ability without having an external reference sheet. Here are the limitations that I hope Casio can address in a future system update: 1. A registration name is limited to 12 characters. This is problematic because many songs have similar names, twelve characters including spaces is simply not enough to easily differentiate the titles. The character limit also mens that you need to drop some words so for example, while you may be looking for "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright" you may have named the registration "It's Alright" or "Don't Think". There is plenty of room in the on-screen name field to expand the character limit to 24 characters which would be greatly appreciated. 2. The customized name of the song registrations does not appear on the main screen, only the bank # and registration # appear there. Unless you are very exact in how you are going to play the song sequence for your set you may inadvertently start the wrong rhythm pattern. Alternatively you can see and select the song you want to play from the registration naming screen but then you cannot change the part you are playing on the fly unless you exit back to the main screen. That is a lot of jumping around. It would be easily solved if the display showed the registration name along with the bank and registration # on the main screen. 3. There is no capability to display the registration names in alpha order. They are kept in order by the bank # then registration # so you end up with 96 random song titles in the list. I hope Casio will consider allowing us to sort by alpha order. 4. Registration set names are limited to eight uppercase characters. This means that you really need to be creative in abbreviating the sets names. For example, if I want to have a set for "Thanksgiving 2016 at XYZ Club" i need to abbreviate to something like "Nov_2016" or "TGIV2016". Not very descriptive, so you lack the ability to name a venue and date for future reference. This must be a hold over from the old 8 character dos filename convention. I hope Casio will consider allowing us to name sets with an alias of reasonable length like 36 characters with punctuation, upper and lower case characters.
