Could not monitor more than one track on playback after recording on the Pattern Tracks.I could only hear other tracks only in while recording.I noticed the Auto Accomp.Button had to be Lit.

The pattern sequencer plays as a rhythm normally would.  It lets you preview how your recorded sequence will sound as a rhythm while played with chords or alone as a drum pattern. To hear all of the tracks, the accompaniment button must be lit and a chord played in the chord section.

Thanks.Is there a way to have the Pattern playback without playing a Chord like the traditional way of recording using the Pattern Recorder?Not sure if it's a setting that will allow me to just press Play to hear?

Great Pattern Recorder.Just wish i was able to use it like a traditional pattern Recorder without having to use the Accomp.button or press a chord to playback tracks.

I thought the midi recorder has a play button. No?

So maybe I can be corrected here but I believe the pattern recorder is to create your own rhythms, which then can be recorded iinto the System track on the midi sequencer - that way you do not have to play any chords to hear all of your composition at once. You then just press play on the midi recorder.

Yes.You do have to press the lower keys to start the background chords though.

It would be great if that feature could be turned off so we can use it as a traditional Pattern Sequencer.

But can't the System Track begin playing by pressing play on midi recorder?

 

It seems the solution to further utilizing the pattern recorder is to sample it and perform it as you wish on the pads. I suppose different sections can be sampled one by one and replayed on the pads.

The pattern sequencer knows only three types of events: Note, PB, and Mod. So you can not make full precious patterns.
