Hex Layers performance with external keyboard

Hello.
When creating Hex Layers on MZX-500, and using an 88 key external keyboard to play everything, does the MZX respond to the external keyboards greater amount of octaves?
Say you create zones for instruments in your HexLayer outside of the range of 61 keys in MZ-X500, are you able to trigger these settings you have made with an external keyboard?

Nice , but how ?

How do you send notes beyond a piano's 88 during live play? Assuming that was the implied question, if you are using a 88-key controller or a digital piano with transpose buttons, just hit transpose up or down. For example, both the PX-360 and PX-560 can do that. The CGP-700 too. I just checked and it seems the M-Audio Hammer 88, an inexpensive 88-key controller, can also do it if you assign those functions to its two assignable buttons.

PS. The CGP-700 lacks 5-pin MIDI connections, so you would have to buy a device to adapt its USB to 5-pin MIDI (available).

Thanks for replies. Is it possible to just use another additional controller simultaneously for the remaining available keys beyond 88 - 128?
