Privmn33
Haven't spotted this in the manual. With a SPLIT configured, loaded up - an EP on upper section of keys, and a Fretless style Bass on left. I would like to kick up the EP layer volume a bit, since the bass tone seems to be much louder. Is there a way of adjusting the volume for a layer? ...or do I need to try to adjust to compensate using one of the EQ settings?
FatBastard
I have been trying to figure this out for days too.
Brad Saucier
Looking over the manual, I don't see any internal settings that will control individual part volumes. However, I do see where part volumes should be controllable via MIDI. If you're connected to a computer, it may be possible to do. EDIT: No, it's not possible as of Feb 17 2019. Casiofun
Brad are you saying the CTX 700 would need to be connected to a DAW to control volume of splits /layers? Looks like a big miss with a 6 track internal recorder with no way to control volume of splits and layers.
Casiofun
Did Casio overlook controlling layer/split volumes on CTX 700/800 or is it buried in a menu somewhere?
vbdx66
Hi, I was also wondering about the same issue because this is a serious flaw in what seems otherwise like a nice little light-weight portable keyboard suitable for home teaching or informal gigs on the beach or as a backup when travelling etc. Is there a possibility that Casio would upgrade the OS of the CT-X700/800 to implement this layer/split volume function, or in contrary to the CT-X3000/5000, is the OS of the 700/800 burned into the ROM so that it is impossible to devise an upgrade?
