astroboy32
Hi there, We have PX-860 that won't power on anymore (just started last week). After some troubleshooting it looks like its power supply is broken. I measured the output with multimeter and it's definitely not 24V as it should be. Anyone have any experience with failed power supplies for casio pianos? It's only a little over 2years old so it's kind of disappointing that it would fail already. Or maybe that's normal for these digital pianos? I did open up a ticket with Casio and they told me that the Privia does have extended 3-year warranty but only in the US (I'm in Canada). Is that true? I can't recall if we registered the product or not. Just trying to see what my options are if Casio refuses to provide a replacement under warranty. I know there are some 3rd party replacement parts available but not sure if they are reliable or not. Curious if anyone has been through this and can offer any suggestions. Thanks
Brad Saucier
It's not normal for a power supply to fail, but it happens occasionally. Have you tried the number on the page below? Last I heard, Canada was covering 3 years same as US. Let us know what happens. http://www.casioca.com/support/contactus/phonenumbers
Joe Muscara
The part is ADE24250. While you will hopefully be able to get a replacement from Casio, the worst case is that you have to buy one. I can't remember the URL for Casio's parts but it's probably available on there. I can't imagine it's too much money.
astroboy32
Thanks for the replies. After talking to several different people I was able to finally get to the right number after following Brad's original link. I can confirm that the warranty is indeed 3-years and they will be sending a replacement once I send it the bill of sale. Thanks again for the help
