CasioArt
. . . in order to utilize the sounds on the downloadable CT-X 5000 files, can each sound be stored within it's folder or should they be available individually on the drive? I hope this make sense as I'm new to this digital wonderland (saxophone player). Looking forward to working with these "X-Files".
Brad Saucier
All of the files need to placed in the MUSICDAT folder on the drive. The keyboard is designed to look for them there.
Stankh
It's seam to be an old 8+3 DOS file convention. I have tried midi files and the CT-X fails to read it until I rename every mid file like GOLD_BUG.MID files. You may use a batch renaming tool like Ant Renamer on PC if you have large bunch of files to rename.http://www.antp.be/software/renamer/download
Chandler Holloway
The CT-X series works best with files that follow some specific naming rules. This section of the CT-X Data Manager guide details the specifics, hopefully it will help with future file names.
