sslyutov
I do. There is a score on the screen and I have beats in headphones as well. Playing from memory is a normal routine. My warmup is about 30 minutes from memory. I do not see any advantage of playing from memory over following notation . All my scores in the electronic form. I am lazy to search for it every time. So have to memorize it Merry Christmas!
sergio
Since I don't read at all, my only thought is that playing from memory frees you to "feel" and interpret the music with fewer constraints. Of course, people can read literature in a very boring way and also in dramatic form, but I just think that not reading leaves more of your brain to play with the music... Just a random thought, but you're doing very well, whatever you're doing! 👍
