mike71
I have a problem on creating a phrase on the px-5S. If I start from a one measure midi file I recorded in a DAW (Linux Rosegarden) then cutting what I played to be a bit less to one measure. When I use the tool to convert I get a phrase with an empty extra measure, and I can't shorten it. Same problem I have if I like to cut a part of a phrase from the PX-5S. And from what I have tried I can't use the arpeggio editor on phrases. Seems to me that is a bit difficult to adjust a phrase or am I missing something obvious? Brad Saucier
Did you set the conversion start and end points in the data editor?
mike71
Was actually that. The problem was that the midi segment I made was extended automatilaly to end at the very beginning of the second beat, making it actually made of two beat, anyway I tried a quick test and worked. Casiofun
Not all midi files will convert to usable phrases. It was hit and miss in my experience when I owned my PX5S. The one thing I missed on it was pre made drum loops.
