Bassil
Hello Everyone, I am new in the digital world and I am looking for some help here if possible, I have the CDP-130, and Steinberg UR 44 (interface), so the keyboard has only a USB (b) possibility (no midi) and I am working on a sound track for a movie in which I would like to use the keyboard as a midi controller to play my libraries from contact 6, so is it a healthy way to connect the keyboard via usb cable to the laptop and the sound interface same way? Or should I find a way to connect the keyboard via the sound interface‘s midi in and out which would be ( usb b to usb a female (from keyboard) then usb A male to midi that goes in the sound interface). I would appreciate any answer thank you guys
Brad Saucier
USB MIDI on the Casio is designed to work directly with the computer without the need for an interface. It should work fine connected directly to the laptop. You'll just need to configure your DAW to use CASIO USB MIDI as the controller.
Bassil
Thank you Brad, won‘t there be latensy (I mean delay) that way? Or since the macbook pro is connected already to a sound interface, it wont cause the delay?
Joe Muscara
I don't think CDP-130 - MacBook Pro would be any more latency than CDP-130 - interface - MacBook Pro. It would probably even be less.
