SNT
Greetings, I purchased the CGP-700 for it's ease of touch screen control for the keyboards features. Important to me are the recording capabilities -both WAV and MIDI. However, my issue with the MIDI recorder function is that it appears to not record in an actual MIDI format but a Casio proprietary format. You can play back MIDI recorded data through the keyboard, but can't port it to other applications for playing/editing. Am I crazy or not? Is there a way to tell this keyboard to store the data as some standard MIDI file.
Brad Saucier
Press menu>media>save. If you see MIDI Recorder SMF as an option, press that. That will allow you to save it as a standard MIDI file to USB flash drive.
SNT
Will try that. Thanks so much.
