Zeus
I'm new to midi and stuff, but whenever I try to load and play a .mid from the keyboard, I can hear all tracks only in piano. What's the way to play the tracks exactly as they are?
Brad Saucier
It sound like your file lacks any bank and program change data to select tones. You can select tones manually by using the mixer.
Zeus
What about the midi files that I load and try to play from usb ?? Those sound entirely like someone hammering their piano
Brad Saucier
It sounds like those files lack any velocity data. Are you downloading MIDI files from free sites?
Allanon
I've no problem playing back midi files from USB stick, some files sound bad but it's because, as @Brad Saucier says, they miss some initialization data like program changes.
Guivannitonos

My midi collection comes from free sites, no big problems playing back them, I've never tried to convert audio to midi but I suspect that they are the most problematic ones
