This is an incredible keyboard, but here's how to trigger it's sounds with MIDI in a DAW!

I have to chime in here,

For anyone that wants to use the PX-S3000 with a DAW and access it's sounds via MIDI, you get the Bank number by taking what it says in the manual here:

And multiplying the 5th column by 128! That really took me a while to figure out.

Hey there!

Personally this is the most complete keyboard I've ever used for midi composition, as it has great sounds, a great feel and 192 note polyphony. It's a really good tool to be able to get ideas down fast as you don't then have to work with slow VSTi's to get your musical ideas down.

But, to use it for composition you need to know that, to select and play with the sounds in your DAW from the keyboard, you first take this manual here:

https://www.strumentimusicali.net/manuali/2019/04/17/9e/casio-pxs3000privia-listadatimusicali-it.pdf

...and you look at the 5th column. You get the bank number by multiplying it by 128! That's huge, now I can go about creating the instrument definition file in Cakewalk, as from Cakewalk I can select all of the keyboards sounds and make music with it.

Thanks and see you later.

The patch script circumvents the need to manually enter the unique program change/bank select value that corresponds to each tone in the PX-S3000's internal memory.

Once the patch scripts are loaded in to a compatible DAW, you can select/search through the PX-S tones by name instead of having to assign voices by referencing the appendix to enter program change and bank select values. This makes it much easier to quickly and accurately assign voices to tracks within the DAW's interface.

It's awesome you guys have these patch scripts, Casio thought of everything.

Composers don't know the sheer power that this keyboard gives now, 192 notes polyphony with 88 keys, I think I've written like 30 songs already in MIDI. x___x It's awesome, I'm enjoying it so much, thanks Casio.
