Easy phrase pad undo?

Hi everyone! I just got my new ctx 3000 (super exciting!), and have been messing around with the phrase pads. When recording a new phrase, is there an easy/quick way to undo it if you mess up (that is, besides the painful process of going through all the phase pad menus again to get to the "clear" panel)? I'm hoping there's something akin to the "undo" function on looper pedals so that loops can be quickly iterated on 

 

Any insight at all will be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forums and congrats on the new CT-X3000!  The phrase edit menu where you select clear to delete a recording is the only method I am aware of.  A quick undo button would be nice.  That's a good suggestion.

Hi Brad! Ah, that's a shame - thanks for the quick response though! Do you know if there's an easier way to clear/undo/iterate on loops through the rhythm editor (or any other functionality) as opposed to the phrase pads? I'm trying find functionality similar to a loop pedal that's native to the CTX, or if I should just go buy an external one.

I would use an external looper.  I have not found anything in the CT-X5000/3000 that will work for a live looping performance.

I agree there should be an 'undo' button.  I find myself having to shut off the entire keyboard and restart in order to get back to the function key and try again.  Su rely there must be some way of avoiding having to shut it down.
