USB Drive "Error Media Format" Press Exit

Does this happen on multiple USB drives?  Multiple different brand names?  Or on just one?

If this is occurring on just the one device, then your PX is telling you that it can't read it.  I'm sorry for stating the obvious.  Maybe it's too large for the PX to handle.  Maybe it's too small.  USB flash manufacturers work very hard to make sure that their devices work with PC's, but not very hard (at al)) to make sure that they work with musical instruments.

If this is occurring on multiple devices, then you probably have a hardware issue which would need to be repaired.

That's all I've got.  Sorry if it doesn't help much.

Have you tried formatting it on your PX?

How do I do that?  If I go to MEDIA and press enter, I get the message above.

Patrick, you may be correct. I have two identical, brand new SanDisk 16GB flash drives. It likes one but not the other, even though both work on my PC. I also tried an older 8GB cheepy flashdrive, and the PX got along with it just fine.  Go figure.
