Trooplewis
So what am I doing wrong? I have formatted the flash drive on my PC, and it is blank. What is the PX trying to tell me?
Patrick Doyle
Does this happen on multiple USB drives? Multiple different brand names? Or on just one? If this is occurring on just the one device, then your PX is telling you that it can't read it. I'm sorry for stating the obvious. Maybe it's too large for the PX to handle. Maybe it's too small. USB flash manufacturers work very hard to make sure that their devices work with PC's, but not very hard (at al)) to make sure that they work with musical instruments. If this is occurring on multiple devices, then you probably have a hardware issue which would need to be repaired. That's all I've got. Sorry if it doesn't help much. --wpd
Brad Saucier
Have you tried formatting it on your PX?

If I go to MEDIA and press enter, I get the message above. Patrick, you may be correct. I have two identical, brand new SanDisk 16GB flash drives. It likes one but not the other, even though both work on my PC. I also tried an older 8GB cheepy flashdrive, and the PX got along with it just fine. Go figure. Brad Saucier
In that case, it definitely sounds like a flash drive issue. I don't think the keyboard can format one that's not compatible for whatever reason.
