ThePianoProdigy
So I have a Casio AP-10 and I am trying to connect it to my laptop over midi. It won't send a signal to the laptop. I noticed there is a button which says transpose, tune, and midi, so I am assuming I need to incorporate that button somehow. A Casio technician told me to post on this forum. If someone can help me with this or can send me a user manual, NOT SERVICE MANUAL, for this piano that would be amazing. Iv looked everywhere its driving me crazy. Its a very old piano
Brad Saucier
The closest I can get is the AP-20 manual here, which should give you an idea about the AP-10. AP-10 was 1995, AP-20 was 1998.

ThePianoProdigy
I tried the instructions for the AP-20 and it didn't work. I don't have the AP-20 control button or lights. I am going to tear my hair out at this point. Iv spent the last 5 hours trying to figure this out. Is there a piano before the AP-10 that I might be able to find a manual for. Brad Saucier
Unfortunately that is the oldest manual I can find.

Chas
How are you connecting the keyboard to your laptop? Are you using an interface? Going by the age of the AP model, it will have 5 pin MIDI sockets as it's almost certainly pre-USB. How are you connecting your keyboard to the laptop with the 5 pin MIDI DIN cables?
