Jokeyman123
For anyone who may not be able to in-person try various piano-action keyboards Casios and others, here is a pretty definitive chart showing exact keyweights, pivot depth and other relevant info that might help you decide which is best for your playing style. 3 Casios are here, the CDP-S350, the PX160 and the CDP-S1000. Shows how the keyweights are graded from low to high octaves with exact weights done by this one poster who had his own unique way of testing these, definitely only for the fanatics among us. I was surprised to see the CDP-S350 is a graded hammer-action board. and that the key depth is slightly deeper for the 160 (and I think this spec is the same for the 350/360/560 etc.) than the PX-S1000, but only by 2mm. Look at the specs for the Steinway grands and compare-very interesting how close some of these boards now come to a true Steinway, and how the actions on an acoustic Steinway and uprights are actually lighter than many of the weighted keyboards. the Casios are actually closer to a grand than some of the rather heavier-actioned Studiologics, Nords and several others. Shows how what might seem apparently obvious can lead to some contradicting specs! http://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/3020742/1
