Connectivity issues with PX-770 as MIDI-controller

I can't seem to connect my brand new PX-770 to my PC (Windows 10). I'm using a normal printer USB cable (Type B-A), the computer recognizes the piano in the "Other Devices" section as "CASIO USB-MIDI" , but none of the music software I am trying, support the piano as "MIDI Device". So annoying... .

(In the Manual it says no driver is needed to be installed for this model)

Thoughts?

Your PX-770 should show up as "CASIO USB MIDI" in any MIDI setup menu.  It's odd that Windows is showing Audio-MIDI.  I'm not familiar with the other two apps, but I know  Cakewalk by BandLab will indeed work.  Perhaps try a restart of everything.  Make sure the cable and piano are connected and turned on before opening any apps.

oh yes. That was my mistake. The windows DOES show "CASIO USB-MIDI". But on the software apps, nothing is paired.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try Cakewalk to see if that works on my system.

***UPDATE*** tried Cakewalk. Still no device is paired, while on Windows I got "CASIO USB-MIDI" showing.
