PX-160 Buzzing/airy noise when plugged in with headphones

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I recently tried to record some songs on my PX-160 and tried a few things (different wire combo and splitters) to record it.

I successfully recorded it, however after I noticed an airy noise that escalates to a louder buzzing noise on my nicer headphones.

The noises have varying loudness on my different headphones (the ones i used to record seems to be the loudest), but completely new ones still experience a faint airy noise.
The noise does not seem to be effected by the volume setting and is there whether or not I am playing a key/pressing a pedal.

My fear is that I may have accidently played a sound into the PX-160's output jacks and fried something. Is there any tips on how i could verify this and possibly resolve this?

I have some tools and am willing to open the piano up, I'm just not sure where to start.

Thanks in advance!
