Mark Friedman
Can the expression pedal on a PX-5s be used to control the volume of just ONE ZONE? Also, can a pedal be assigned to control the rotary speaker effect? Thanks for everyone's help. I'm new at this. Brad Saucier
Factory organ stage settings are already setup for pedal control of rotary speed. While expression pedals are not directly supported by the PX-5S, a standard switch type sustain pedal can be configured to target expression control. Min and max expression values can be programmed to the pedal, as well as the time it takes (on and off rate) to fade between the two values when the pedal is used. You can configure the pedal to toggle mode or momentary mode, depending on how you want it to perform. Siders, knobs, wheels and pedals are considered a group of "controllers". All controllers on the PX-5S can be enabled for any or all zones. So yes, that means a pedal can be enabled for just 1 zone. All of this is found by pressing edit>stage setting. Min/max, on/off rate, and target is found under common edit. Pedal enable is under zone edit>controller enable.
anotherscott
If you added an expression pedal (using something like a MIDI Solutions Pedal Controller or Audiofront MIDI Expression iO), you can use the pedal to affect just one zone.
