darrencorrea
Hey ! So I was looking to record piano and one of the preset rhythms (just drums) in Reaper. However they both got recorded in the same track. Is there a way I can send midi output through different channels, so that the piano and rhythm/drums gets recorded on different tracks. Thanks
Solution Brad Saucier Posted February 11, 2022 Solution Share Posted February 11, 2022 Every part is transmitted on a different MIDI channel. Check your track input settings in Reaper. I don't use that software, but it should let you choose which channel each track records. Upper 1 is channel 1. Drums should be channel 10. darrencorrea
Ok thanks. I think it should work. I know what I need to do in Reaper. I somehow thought that I had the specify/allot the channel for each instrument on the keyboard as well. Thanks again
dftx3
On Ardour daw, I can record all 16 ch on one track, or one ch to one track, or how I want to do. You can do this on your daw (software). From casio keyboard you can not specify. Function midi menu is very poor.
