rogingat
When I connect my keyboard to my PC via USB cable it shows up in the PC Device Manager list and in Properties it indicates that it is functionning normally. However it does not show up in my Sound Controller device list and I m unable to send or receive sound from it to the PC. Help! My PC is running Windows 11. Brad Saucier
The USB connection is MIDI, not audio.
rogingat
Hi Brad, I admit that I am totally new to this MIDI thing! Here is what my Casio manual says; that I can send and play data between my keyboard and my PC. What does "data" mean. All I want to do is play backing tracks from an App on my PC to my keyboard. Am I doing this wrong? Should I be using the Audio In jack on the Casio?
Solution Brad Saucier Posted February 27, 2022 Solution Share Posted February 27, 2022 MIDI data is like digital sheet music, no actual sound is transmitted. It's just instructions to play an instrument. You'll need to use audio in for sound.
