Lurch
PROBLEM RESOLVED According to the folks at Harbinger, I should plug my 1/4" Stereo out from the Casio Keyboard, into Input #3 \ Left (MONO) and all should play well. Perhaps because the WK-3200 is at least 15 years old, the Harbinger configuration did not work. So, I used a cable with 1/8" stereo cable, with the White/Red RCA Jacks on the other end. I adapted to a 1/4" x 1/8" stereo jack into the keyboard. On the RCA jacks I adapted Mono 1/4" x RCA mono Jacks and plugged those into the Left and Right of the Harbinger Input#3. Now all keyboard play and recorded tracks play with the appropriate volume. Another option is using a 1/4" to 1/8" stereo adapter from the Casio to the "Aux in" on the Harbinger. That works well. The above solutions were work-arounds, because I still didn't know why the channels didn't playback correctly. Update Just today, after having this keyboard for 15+ years, I discovered a paragraph in the manual pertaining to DSP. Whenever the DSP is turned on, all Mixer settings pertaining to volume, Pan, reverb, chorus, etc, are then changed to whatever the settings are in the DSP menus, which can and usually are different. That would be the cause of the problem, but fixable by going into the Effects/DSP menus and making changes. So, the Harbinger plays exactly what is sent to it. DSP Settings and Mixer Settings on the Casio are two separate features. Hello folks, This issue probably applies to any Casio model with DSP. I recently purchased a Harbinger V2308 powered speaker. I have a Casio Keyboard WK3200, with DSP. My WK3200 has a Stereo out, which connects the Keyboard to the V2308, in the L (mono) jack and setting of "Normal". The Problem: When playing any tone or playing back any song, if one of the tracks, is playing back and the particular instrument uses the DSP. The V2308 plays that particular track at 1/2 the volume or less, almost inaudible. If I turn the DSP off in the middle of the playback, the speaker plays the instrument at regular volume. Or when I'm just playing single note, If DSP Light are off, Normal volume / If DSP light is turned, on drastically reduced volume. Any idea what is wrong? Brad Saucier
Sounds like a stereo to mono summing issue. Have you tried running in true mono?
