Problem Setting up Pianoteq 8 with Casio AP470 - first time user

I'm using a USB cable from the AP470 to my Lenovo Laptop (Windows 10) and then exporting to a Topping 90DSE DAC/Headphone amp to listen through my headphones.  The Lenovo recognizes that the Casio is connected to it.  The Pianoteq software seems to know it is connected.  Settings seem correct on Pianoteq - and I can hear the virtual piano contained within the Pianoteq software if I use my mouse to touch the keys.  The problem is I get no sound when I strike a key on the Casio.   Is there something else I need to do?  Drives to download?  Reload the software?  Something on the Casio itself to let it know I want to use it as a midi?

I have a Focusrite Clarett 8Pre USB 18x20 Audio Interface that I theoretically could connect, but I thought I'd keep it simple - but let me know if that's what I need to do.

I appreciate your suggestions.

Ok, this morning I tried it again  I chose that Casio Midi - but then after I turned on the Casio and suddenly it switched to "Listen to all MIDI inputs."    No sound when striking the Casio keys.

UPDATE::  Problem Solved.  It appears when I was setting cutting off sound to the Casio, I actually was hitting the wrong function key and cut sound out completely - internally and externally.  Hitting FUNCTION and the proper key for local control resulted in success.
