Xavier
I am an owner of the Casio LK S450 keyboard and I am trying to control the LED lights on the keyboard using MIDI messages. I have been trying to find documentation or information about which MIDI messages are supported by the LK S450, specifically for controlling the LED lights, but I have not been able to find anything. Could you please provide me with any documentation or information about which MIDI messages the LK S450 supports for controlling the LED lights on the keyboard? I have already checked the user manual, but it does not provide detailed information about MIDI messages.

See the manual for MIDI IN Navigate Channel. Basically you can choose which incoming MIDI channel makes the keys light up.

CasioKid thank you for your answer but is not really what I'm looking for Mike Martin, Thank you for your answer too; in the documentation in the link bellow : https://support.casio.com/storage/en/manual/pdf/EN/008/LKS450_usersguide_EN.pdf I found this : page EN 148 : MIDI In Navigate Can be used to it possible to enable use of the NAVIGATE function that causes Keyboard Lighting to be controlled by MIDI IN note messages. MIDI In Navigate Off, Listen, Right Hand Off, Left Hand Off, Both Hand Off (Initial Default: Off) But it didn't works, with my programme I'm able to send a MIDI message for play a note : send([144, 60, 127]) (144 noteOn, 60 the note number and 127 the velocity) But the key doesn't light up even with any of the previous setting :/
Brad Saucier
Which settings did you select for MIDI in navigate? And which channels did you select?

Hi Brad and Martin, Ok I understand now, I configured "MIDI In Navigate" on listen and "MIDI In Navigate Channel Right Hand" on 1 and "MIDI In Navigate Channel Left Hand" on 1 too and it's work ! Previously my mistake was to don't put theses two channel on 1 I let it on 4 and 3 as default. I just wanted to express my gratitude for the help I received on this forum. Thanks to your guidance, I was able to successfully configure my Casio LK S450 to control the Keyboard Lighting with MIDI IN note messages. Your patience and expertise were greatly appreciated, and I couldn't have done it without your support. Thank you all once again, and I hope to continue learning from this community in the future.
