Casio for Christmas Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 My Casio previa is stuck on one tone ... doesn't change no matter what I enter. It did work great till now. How can I reset to factory spec? The directions say to hold down the plus and minus volume button while powering it up but that doesn't work. Hoping someone can help? Quote
Joe Muscara Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 What model? Instructions vary by model, and maybe it's something else that's not working right that we can help you with if we know the features.. Quote
tony t Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 Yes. What model. I have the book for the 330. Quote

The manual says hold the up and down tempo buttons. Which tone is it stuck on? What does the display show as your upper 1 tone? Are you sure the modulation wheel is in the off position? It should be all the way down, not centered like the pitch bend wheel. 1 Quote
Casio for Christmas Posted March 11, 2023 Author Posted March 11, 2023 It was the modulator wheel! It is still a mystery as to why the tones weren't able to be changed since that wheel shouldn't affect being able to change tones, but regardless once I reset the wheel it's working great again so thanks! 1 Quote
Jingsant Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Hi brad would u know if there is a hack to force the 560 to turn? Is that what u meant by holding the tempo buttons while powering up Quote

It would need testing to be sure. Quote

Jingsant Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Bought it during pandemic made one song with it . Left it in music room never used it on gig never had accidents nor spills nor any impact. It still has the face plastic on the dashboard never took it off so the dashboard doesnt have any fingerprints whatsoever around the buttons. Its practically still brand new . But now i visited the room and it wont power up. Im scared to bring it to a local casio or any pretentious repair center because the third world is notorious for dishonesty and slipshod work and probably would end up making it worse after they slice this beauty open and also overstate the problem and overcharge me while leaving more damage inside by servicing with heavy dirty hands that may bring bigger problems later down the road. So no i would appreciate all the help from you guys first , and try some diy solutions with you before i gamble my mint baby to the local repair center that are no better than opportunistic overpricing backyard mechanics who could monkey around the precious piano with irreparable consequences. Who can give me a starting point ? The only culprit i can think of is simple humidity . Or temperature fluctauations … like now the cooler months brought rare chill that seem to shock this perpetually hot and humid hell im located in. can i just wait it out until the heat returns ? But i know heat and humidity brings more conductivity connection problems than mild cool weather. Our temps here this winter is unbelievably beautiful … like san diego ca in the fall. Maybe dropping to 65-70. Which sadly is about to end. But its hard to believe that the more good and possible cure to this keyboard power up issue is coming with the return of the tropical oven. More bad always comes from heat. are there any other ideas? Should i explore some boot up hacks similar to like … windows safe mode? Should i just order a new power cord and risk wasting money if it doesnt work? Should i open my baby and experiment with carefully spraying an oxygen dust cleaner can? Can i open my flagship jewel without damaging it with just home tools? What should i do. One day im high playing this keyboard pride and another day for no reason it wont power up. I dont deserve this i pampered her since day one and even never took off the long dashboard plastic sticker that still covers the speakers. What happened why am i facing trouble after all my efforts providing the best care? Quote
