Silvi
Hi, I've been owning my Casio PX-160 for about 6 years. It's never occurred before that some keys give up working. Since today something very weird happens again and again: I switch it on - all keys are working when pressed singly one after the other. Then I want to play and - especially in the lower section played by the left hand - some keys (about four to five) suddenly don't work any longer - no matter how hard they're pressed... Does that sound familiar to anybody? Is there anything I can do about it? The fact that all keys respond right after switching it on lets me hope that the instrument is basically working, but what the heck...? Who has got a clue or can give me some advice? Thanks in advance! Edited August 20, 2023 by Silvi
Brad Saucier
I have never heard of that particular symptom before. My only thought, my suspicion would be a faulty power supply. That could cause erratic operation.
Silvi
Thanks anyways. Actually I never changed its position and also the power supply has always been from the same socket... But I' ll see if it'll make a change when being connected at a different spot.
Silvi
I plugged it in at a different spot, but it's the same. It feels like its working memory hasn't got any capacities although I do not record and just use the very basic piano function and the sustain pedal. I'm absolutely clueless... Brad Saucier
The AC adapter itself may be the issue.
