Noj
Is it possible to transfer the recorded MIDI tracks from a CT-S1 to e.g a phone, if you have it connected with the Bluetooth dongle? I'm asking because a friend who owns a CT-S1 (he doesn't own a PC or audio interface) wants to be able to record ideas at home and then send the MIDI recordings to me for further work and mixing. It's a bit easier than him having to bring the CT-S1 to my studio everytime he has an idea. I only have 25- and 49-key keyboards, and he doesn't feel comfortable playing on them. It would be so much easier if the recordings can be transferred and sent to me instead.
Brad Saucier
The Bluetooth connection is only for using the CT-S1 as a wireless MIDI controller or using the CT-S1 as a Bluetooth speaker. Bluetooth is not able to transfer internal MIDI recorder content. I would probably use a MIDI sequencer application on the phone. Use the app to record ideas and store recordings as standard MIDI files rather than use the keyboards own internal MIDI recorder.
Noj
Thanks for the answer! Is it possible to transfer the recorded MIDI files through USB at least? Or ar the recordings only available for use inside of the CT-S1?
Brad Saucier
The internal recorder is only for internal playback. To be clear, do you need MIDI data, or audio data?
