PX-S1100 - D5 key oversensitive / dull sounds / wrong weighted keyboard

Hello Everybody,

I need your opinion with the following problem.

Just 2 days ago I received my new PRIVIA. When I unpacked it and tried it for the first time, I thought I must be prejudiced as for several years I've owned Roland FP-30.

I cannot believe that PRIVIA sounds so dull and there is not much difference between GRAND PIANO CONCERT and GRAND PIANO MELLOW.

The keyboard seems to be wrongly weighted as A0 sounds much quieter when struck hard than C1 when struck lighter.

The main thing which I accidently noticed is the sound of D5 key, which is oversensitive and sounds much louder and than C5 and E5 neighboring keys.

Here you will find few samples of this situation.

I recorded them with three different tones selected.

GRAND PIANO CONCERT:

GRAND PIANO MELLOW:

GRAND PIANO BRIGHT

Please tell me that this is not the way PRIVIA should sound

Please ensure me that this D5 loudness and oversensitivity is just the manufacturing defect.

I have applied to the seller for the product replacement, but I need your, firsthand users, opinion.

I bought PRIVIA to have a travel companion as it is much lighter and thinner than Roland FP-30 and all those reviews and presentations and people playing marvelous stuff with PRIVIA on Youtube.

Please tell me that it was a wise decision to buy PRIVIA and it sounds much better than this what I recorded.

The D key is definitely not normal.  It is not responding to velocity correctly.  It would not be like that on a properly functioning PX-S1100.  Since it's brand new, I would proceed with the exchange.

Thank you very much.

I just didn't want to overreact.
