Tom Piggott
I added my personal MIDI files to the MusicDat folder on the USB Drive. Reads Standard Midi files fine. However the playback of MIDI tracks need to be lowered in volume so playing live parts are louder, MIDI is lower. How is this done? Thanks. Brad Saucier
Unfortunately there's no easy way to lower the overall vol of the midi file playback on the px5. You might try editing the volumes in the file itself using a computer program like Cakewalk and such. On the px-5s, you would need to go into sys settings>sound generator>mixer and adjust the channel volumes manually and hope the midi file does not contain volume commands as it may reset your manual mixer adjustments every time playback starts. BTW. The first 4 tracks of the midi file and the 4 zones of the px5 will share mixer channels 1-4.
Display Name
Brad beat me to to it. Honestly the best thing to do is to render that MIDI file as a wav and play it back that way. You will have much more control over the volume and the PX-5S during playback.
Brad Saucier
Yes. What Scott said is the best idea.
