asmmurray
Recently, I have decided to use my Privia Pro PX5s on FL studio as a midi controller. However, I have encountered some strange issues with the set up. Whenever I record midi without sustain, every note will be duplicated exactly (a real hassle for editing), and when I use the sustain, the note I desire to play has a very short note before it; the same one, but this makes legato almost impossible. Any suggestions would be most welcome! I don't feel I described that all too well, so if you have any questions ask away
Joe Muscara
There are two things that come to mind. One is that the PX-5S might be sending on multiple MIDI channels and you need to have your software listen to just one. The other is that the PX-5S has high resolution velocity CC #88 turned on by default and you might try turning this off.
asmmurray
Hi, thanks but I just tried both of these, and still no joy!
Solution Brad Saucier Posted December 30, 2014 Solution Share Posted December 30, 2014 Turn off all zones but 1. With high res midi off and only 1 zone on, the PX-5s can no longer be the issue. It has to be the software.
Joe Muscara
Brad's point is one I forgot about - zones. Make sure only one zone is sending. Another possibility is a MIDI loop. But check the zones thing first and let us know.
