dama
Anyone know what Rhodes setting is used for this song that Jim Alfredson is playing? Aside from his awesome playing and great tune, I really like the full tone and great clarity in the upper register. dama
I just found it. On SoundCloud it has it featured as "New Roadz".
dama
After downloading the New Roadz, I'm finding that in the higher registers I don't get the punch that he gets on this recording. The lower half sounds great but the sound isn't as evenly distributed. I wonder if he changed the settings from the original. I've played with the EQ and found it gets better. Anybody using this sound? Do you have any suggestions for improving balance in overall range? https://soundcloud.com/casiomusicgear/privia-new-roadz-ep

b3groover
Hi dama, Since this example was made two years ago, I went back to the original Cubase recording and there's no effects on the sound. It's direct from the Privia into my computer. I did not edit the patch for the recording. Mike Martin sent it to me and I made the demo. Sorry I can't be of more help.----Jim Alfredson
dama
Thanks Jim! I appreciate your response and help. My speakers are a bit bassy,so that is probably throwing me off a little.
Organuts
Thanks Jim! I appreciate your response and help. My speakers are a bit bassy,so that is probably throwing me off a little.I think that this recording was made with some EQ adjustment. Without EQ-ing the New Roadz patch doesn't sound as good and transparent as in Jim's recording.
