chadsmaestro
Hi Guys,I'm very new to Privia X 5s. I use Logic Pro X and have a lot of VSTs apart from Logic's own that have a lot of synths. Does anyone know what the controls are and how can they be programmed for different settings ? I mean, it's only the Mod Wheel, Pitch Bend and S1 and K1 that work. Others Don't function or I don't know how to program them. Could you please help me with this?
Joe Muscara
The trick is that different Stage Settings on the PX-5S set up different MIDI controllers (CCs) for the knobs, sliders, and wheels, and some don't have them set to any CC at all. What you have to do is have each one of those set to also be a CC. You'll probably want to set up a special Stage Setting just to control your plug-ins. Then have each controller be a CC if it doesn't already, and then have the plug-in respond to the specific CC. Logic and MainStage can be put into a Learn mode where you just say for this parameter, listen for a controller and that will auto-assign it. Setting the knobs and sliders to be CCs is pretty simple, though I don't recall the steps offhand. Once you find it, it's pretty easy though. chadsmaestro
Can this also be done through The Casio Data Editor PX 5S? Also, has that been updated for El Capitan? Can anyone of you please send me the download again of DATA EDITOR? I don't think it's working right now for me.
