  1. Apologies, I was looking at a different model. CTK-700 does not have auto harmonize. This particular model resets to factory settings each time the power is turned off. If all of the keys are not working normally in normal mode, the keyboard may need repair.
  2. Try increasing release time.
  3. Where did you read that? All 61 keys will function perfectly as a MIDI keyboard.
  4. Yes, it should be the first 2 or 3 channels for split and layer.
  5. Welcome to the forums! Split mode uses 2 MIDI channels, so you'll need to record 2 indepenant tracks. Each track should send data on a different MIDI channel.
  6. Casio is also a timepiece company, after all.
  7. Back in the day, I would create backing tracks with the song sequencer (called "MIDI recorder" in current models) on my MZ-2000 for my cousin to sing vocals over. I didn't have much in the way of audio recording other than a Philips dual deck CD recorder. I would playback the MZ-2000 in his headphones while recording mic audio directly to CD without the music, so I would have an isolated vocal track. I would then take that CD, playback on another CD player, mix that audio and the MZ-2000 together, running into the CD recorder again to get a final mix. I would manually start playback on the MZ at the correct count-in point as heard in the original vocal track. For a 3 minute song, the CD player and MZ would stay in perfect timing with one another. I'm glad I did it that way because those original isolated vocal tracks survive to this day, where I can use much more sophisticated DAW software I didn't have back then.
  8. Welcome to the forums Johnny! Unfortunately, split mode and rhythm editing is not available on the CT-S300. Casio starts offering split mode at the CT-X700 level, and the ability to edit preset rhythms at the CT-X3000 level.
  9. Intro can't be copied to variation, if that's what you're asking. The section in the manual I mentioned outlines which parts can be copied to which.
  10. It can't be turned off. Whenever you play a key, you're hearing an audio recording of a real piano played back at CD quality. The sound is in that recording.
  11. You'll want to use an external player for that, like a phone connected to the audio in jack. The onboard audio recorder doesn't have those functions.
  12. Yes. Use element copy, in the manual it's under "to copy an existing accompaniment pattern for editing". Basically, start editing the rhythm you want to add a new variation to, select an empty variation, enable the copy element function, select the rhythm number you want to copy from, and select the variation you want from that rhythm. Press enter to complete.
  13. It is normal and the sound of a real piano. The upper notes on a real piano do not have dampers that stop the strings from ringing out. Since a piano is a percussion instrument, you're hearing the felt covered hammers strike the metal strings. It creates a percussive metallic sound.
  14. CTX series does not offer sampling or sample expansion memory.
  15. I haven't seen one for Studio One yet. I'll let you know if I find one.
  16. It looks like it's made as a portable version of the SP-33 pedal board, for older models. A portable version of SP-33 is something Casio never made. The connector is definitely not compatible with SP-34 based models, so you would still need to purchase a Casio SP-34 for those models.
  17. I use a MIDI to USB cable with mine and it works well, however I made sure to purchase a well known brand name cable. If the cable does not have a brand name on it at all, it likely won't work well, if at all. I've been down that road, and so have many others on this forum.
  18. What you see in a hex layer tone are the raw samples that all other tones are made of. The MZ-X500 does not store stereo waves in memory, and later split those into mono waves for hex layer mode. Stereo samples are stored as split mono samples for use with all tones. The sample manager splits the files. This is the way all Casio keyboards with sample ability work.
  19. Silvano is correct. Simply look at the wave list in a hex layer tone layer. You will see the stereo grand piano is comprised of left and right mono wave sample sets. A total of 8 waves make up the main stereo grand piano tone in the MZX series, 4 left, and 4 right.
  20. My iPad Mini 2 is on iOS 12.4.8 and shows as "up to date". It hasn't received any major updates for quite a while. I'm pretty sure it's in the end of support phase. MIDI Designer Pro 2 shows up in the app store for purchase on this iPad, however a banner notification says that iOS 13.2 or later is required. iPad Mini 2 is getting pretty old now, and so is the 3. I would at least look for a 4. It looks like the Mini 4 current version is iPad OS 14.
  21. Have you tried contacting the store that you purchased this from? For something so intermittent, the only way I can imagine solving it is a complete replacement.
  22. I'm constantly monitoring the forums and Facebook groups. I've never seen a report of this kind. If I had to guess, it sounds like the power supply might be at fault. Do you happen to have another Casio adapter compatible with the PX-S3000?
