These are some of my personal user tones for the MZ-2000. Some of these date back more than 10 years. These are random tones I designed for various projects in the past.

For playing the song Sledgehammer. Slider 1 turns a synth layer on/off for the high part.
Hex tone files are available for individual use.

This is the raw square wave I used to make "Halo".

A stereo string sound good for staccato play. It has an Amp envelope applied as well.  

One of the first edited tones I made on my CT-X5000. It's a strat guitar into a bass stack amp sim and mic sim using the revamped dsp system in the CTX series.

A steel drum hex layer tone by request. Beefed up version of the GM Steel Drum tone. A syn voice pad is added on layer 6.

A simple stereo applause hex tone. I tried to eliminate sample looping artifacts.

A powerful improvement to the GM Pizzicato tone. It has large Reverb and an added String staccato layer.
The String Zone can be removed by adjusting expression on slider 2.
The Pizzicato Zone also can be adjusted on slider 1.

If you use this stage setting, please let me know if you like it and how you used it.  I learn music by ear.  This stage setting started as I was learning how to play the song.  I carefully listened to left and right channels of the original recording, trying to hear how it was played.  Once I learned it well enough to play it myself,  I recorded it into the sequencer on the MZ-2000, then converted that recording into phrases for the PX-5S.  The rest of the work involved editing PX-5S tones until they sounded like the sounds heard in the original record.

This is a stage setting and sounds for playing the song Sweet Dreams by the Eurythmics.
Sweet Dreams is the Stage Setting. Sweet Arp is the phrase that plays the synth sounds. Place this phrase in slot 120 Sweet Beat is the phrase for the drum pattern. Place this phrase in slot 121. Once loaded, make sure the Arpeggiator lamp is lit, then hit any key in the low end to start the pattern playing. The Synth Lead sound is in the upper range for playing the solo.

No sooner I upload the 11 tone pack, I created a tone I like so much I had to upload it.  This started out as basic strings, but adding a DSP chain to it and tweaking the effects a bit made a really interesting tone.  It's some EQ plus phaser, delay and a pitch shifter.  Quick demo here....

A different Jazz Guitar than the factory Jazz Guitar tone. I might say it's even better than the factory tone. 

NOTE: This works only on the XW-G1. Download the MP3 demo to get an idea of what it is supposed to sound like.

Thanks to the PX-5's powerful hex layer synth I was able to get a decent approximation of the sound of a toy piano by using 12 layers of other wave sounds.

Toy Piano. A tone that takes advantage of the expansion memory in the MZX series.  This tone loads new sample data into the keyboard.  The file was edited on an MZ-X500.  MZ-X300 is untested.

A stage setting with mildly prominent trombone mixed with strings. This stage setting has a very realistic wide sound stage with the trombone center of the mix. Pedal 2 adds expression.

This is a bit different than anything else I have attempted. I worked with the hex layer waves to create both a Ukulele open picked and muted picked string sound. Initially there will be an arpeggio pattern active on zone 2 that will automatically strum for you. I also created a phrase that is active on zone 1 and plays the muted strum for you. You will need to load the included phrase separately for that. I recommend using it. The downside to the strum phrase is it's not velocity sensitive. Playing the muted strum manually will allow velocity sense. The arpeggio button is what turns on/off all of the automation. If you only want to turn off one zone of automation, press and hold the arpeggio button, select the zone, then go down to zone and change it to off.
To play the pattern use a rhythmic back and forth between your sustain pedal and the muted strum in the left hand. Release the sustain pedal and play the muted sound almost simultaneously.
Zone 1 = Muted Ukulele in the lower octaves (strum emulation created by the arpeggiator running the STRUM phrase)
Zone 2 = Open Ukulele in the upper octaves (strum pattern created by a modified factory arpeggio pattern)
Slider 1 = Expression level of the muted strum zone 1
Slider 2 = Expression level of the open ukulele zone 2
Slider 6 = Reverb level
Knobs = Master EQ (preset to this stage setting for the ukulele sound)
Download the STRUM phrase separately and place in user slot 150
