Jokeyman123
The on.off is a little rubber button correct? If you are lucky the switch might still be OK, and this could be as simple as a bit of dirt or contamination in under the rubber button., Try a small drop of household rubbing alcohol into the crack between the rubber switch and the surrounding plastic. Use either a toothpick or something like this that is small-and work the switch-see if that works. Don't get too much alcohol in there, a drop or 2 will be enough. Be careful not to get the alcohol on the plastic body of the keyboard, wipe it off quickly if you do. And of course if this is still covered by your warranty I would not do this, contact Casio tech support. The other possibility if this does not work-the solder contacts might be partially cracked and shorting the switch which means a new switch is needed. One other idea-make sure the rubber button is actually moving back up as it's supposed to. Try gently prying the rubber button up with something thin that will not damage anything-like a thin plastic credit card to determine if the rubber switch is not springing back properly. If the rubber button is sticking down, it will keep the keyboard from switching off. Hope this helps

Jokeyman123
Oh yeah! Great! What was wrong? So glad it didn't turn out to be something worse. these Casios seem pretty sturdy-my XW-P1 has the same type of buttons-after 2 years, no problems with any of these. kamotekeys
@Jokeyman123 I think there's a bit of dirt inside my power switch, so i tried the alcohol things hehe
Jokeyman123
if that doesn'r do it, if you have trouble-try purchasing some professional electronics "tuner" or "contact" cleaner which will remove any oxidation from switches or pots. Works well
Mike Martin
If you hold it down for a few seconds?
