Sonny Singh
Hey everyone, So I recently got a new ctx5000 and I tried to connect my microphone to it. I'm using a balanced trs to xlr (male to female) microphone cable to connect the Behringer xm8500 microphone to the ctx5000. I'm unable to get any sound from my speakers when I try to speak through the mic. Can anyone help me out as to what's going on? Also, both the cable and the microphone are new. Thank you! Brad Saucier
Hi Sonny! Mic inputs on Casio products are designed to work directly with unbalanced dynamic microphones that have a 1/4" TS plug. For your balanced XLR mic, you'll need to use an adapter. A cable labeled for XLR balanced to 1/4" TS unbalanced is what you want.
