Mitra
So notice that the three main sampled pianos play at much lower volumes then the other samples. The difference is quite stark. Three main samples at highest level is just about the same as all other samples at half level. It also sounds like they are projected differently from the speakers. Is this suppose to be like this or do I need to do a factory reset or something?
Brad Saucier
You might try setting the touch response setting to light.
Mitra
Ah so you saying the setting on each preset that might be driving the big difference in volume is the touch sensitivity setting. Didn't realise that they changed based on the sample. Thought it was a universal setting. Will try and check.
Mike Martin
The dynamic response of the acoustic pianos are optimized for realism and expression, the dynamic range is quite wide. As mentioned, adjusting the keyboard response to lighter will reduce this wide dynamic range. Other tones - organ, electric piano, pipe organ...etc are amplified instruments that don't have the same dynamic response as acoustic grand. Strings are optimized to sit nicely with the piano tones.
