CT-X users, here are some personal edited tones, that might be useful to you also:

DX ELECTRIC PIANO - sounds very reach

SYMPHONIC STRINGS - WITH A NICE SLOW ATTACK BUT NOT TOO SLOW LIKE SLOW STRINGS

REAL VIOLIN - A MORE REALISTIC SOLO VIOLIN

Hope you will enjoy them, and I encourage you to come up and upload your own New Tones.

All the Best to you all!

Just place it onto usb stick, into MUSICDAT folder. Press the set key, then press key "1" 3 times, then key "6" 3 times, use wheel to select tone, then press again key 6 and you're done.

Strings are really nice, thanks! will add a bit of harsher strings as 2nd layer at lower voice, to give it more academic sound. Now they sound more like late Phil Spector-ish :)

Is there any other way to read the values of an x5000 user tone file, and recreate it in my x900in?

Maybe editing the tone in the HEX editor .... Well, here, of course, you need to understand the binary code of the tone and you need to find what exactly needs to be changed in the code in order to unlock the tone file with the synthesizer. And it's not a fact that this is at all possible ...
