It's a small file only two kb and the file DOES play else where, any ideas why it wont play in Chordana?

Brad Saucier
Hmm, that file is causing an issue with both Chordana apps. I'm not sure what needs to be changed in the file to make it compatible. Let me try some ideas. Test.mid
Jokeyman123
Brad-I looked at the header info on this with my sequencer-there are controller messages embedded in the header-I don't know if that has anything to do with it, it plays in my software sequencers, looks like any other midi file. Brad Saucier
You'll need to use a DAW or MIDI file editor to edit the file and save it again. I deleted the first measure for good measure, see above. It works after that.

Brad Saucier
I wasn't sure exactly what was causing the issue, so I deleted the entire first measure since it didn't contain any note data. If you'll notice, I attached the edited file in a previous post above.

- T -
Those controller messages, noted by jokeyman123, are typically generated by the Cakewalk line of sequencers (Cakewalk, Sonar, Music Creator, Home Studio) as a setup, primarily for the effects processors, in Roland Sound Canvas type sound modules. When I loaded that file into Sonar, I received its usual pop-up warning message that those strings were there, and asking if I wanted it to send them to the target device. I could understand Chordana Play not knowing what to do with those.
