Ant
Hi, I have been trying to connect a Privia PX-110 to a computer to use with either Garage Band or Flowkey and not having much luck. I have tried both my Mac and Windows 10 PC. I have the cables and the computers recognise the connection. In the case of Flowkey on a PC, it recognises the connection. GarageBand on the Mac does not. Bit even through the PC recognises the midi connection, it wont operate as it is suppose to (Flowkey stops the progression of the music if you cannot keep up). Just wondering if anyone can help. Thank you.
Jokeyman123
What type and brand of usb midi cables are you using?

Teaching software usually has a feature that stops and waits for you to catch up. It sounds like you're describing that.
IanB
The only photos I can find of this device are in its packaging, but it very much looks like a badged version of the standard Chinesey MIDI interface that doesn't work properly- they pass note and modulation info but the more complex MIDI commands aren't passed through. You probably need a full spec interface from Roland, Behringer, Prosonus, etc.
Ant
Thanks for your comments. Even though I bought it on ebay it was not a cheaper Ebay product, but I typed in Google cheap Chinese usb midi and one suggestion was that you connect the Input labeled cable to the Output and vice versa. Now it works! How silly, I connected the cable marked input to input. Hopefully this will help someone else in the future.
